122: How my Relationship with Food has Changed and why we Should Stop Commenting on Women’s Bodies

In this solo episode, I discuss the evolution of my relationship with food and where I’m at right now: a much more “chill” version and one who is now comfortable relinquishing control. This has truly been the greatest mental shift I’ve experienced since giving birth. I also discuss the request to stop commenting on women’s bodies and how I’ve received more comments on my body during postpartum than I ever could have imagined. I get open and honest on why I’m currently struggling with these comments and the history behind this request.

Key Takeaway / Points:

  • How becoming a mom has forced me to relinquish control

  • Why I now consider myself “chill” (no matter how much Joe makes fun of me for saying this)

  • The evolution of my relationship with food and how it is now simply just that, food

  • Why we should stop commenting on women’s bodies

  • Discussion around body comments and pregnancy / postpartum

  • The honest truth of current struggles and why I would like people to stop commenting on my body
