122: How my Relationship with Food has Changed and why we Should Stop Commenting on Women’s Bodies
In this solo episode, I discuss the evolution of my relationship with food and where I’m at right now: a much more “chill” version and one who is now comfortable relinquishing control. This has truly been the greatest mental shift I’ve experienced since giving birth. I also discuss the request to stop commenting on women’s bodies and how I’ve received more comments on my body during postpartum than I ever could have imagined. I get open and honest on why I’m currently struggling with these comments and the history behind this request.
Key Takeaway / Points:
How becoming a mom has forced me to relinquish control
Why I now consider myself “chill” (no matter how much Joe makes fun of me for saying this)
The evolution of my relationship with food and how it is now simply just that, food
Why we should stop commenting on women’s bodies
Discussion around body comments and pregnancy / postpartum
The honest truth of current struggles and why I would like people to stop commenting on my body
